11/7/2007 Tonight I started by riveting the other two platenuts on the F-6124 bracket. These were put off because I had to get the #8 dimple die from work for the screws. Then I put the handle and trim weldment together. The part pictured below will be under the seat skin.
Then I installed the bracket with the handle and weldment between the center seat ribs. The aft screws are flush, and will not be seen, and the front screws are in temporarily until the seat skins are put in later on. I think I'm going to strip the powdercoating off the handle and make it RED!
Then I installed the attach links to the bottom of the control sticks and retorque'd the threads.
The last thing I got to tonight was the left side tension spring. It took me three tries to get the safety wire the proper length (proper safety wire twisting is not necessary here). I didn't get to the right side tonight.
Today I was notified that my Icom A-210 comm radio will be delivered tomorrow! Woohoo! It has been back ordered for about three weeks now, and I'm excited to see what it looks like! 2.0 hours |
