11/8/2007 Early entry for today being that it's 11am as I type this. I'm home waiting for my A210 to get here from UPS (they require a signature for this delivery), so I spent a short while in the shop this morning since I won't be able to work tonight. I finished the aileron trim to start. The right side spring needed to be installed, and then I tested the range of motion. It's free and clear except the extreme forward stick all the way to the right or all the way to the left. I can't foresee EVER needed that kind of control deflection in flight, and if I do, there are bigger problems than the spring slightly rubbing a seat rib.
There are still several items on my list of things to finish, and I didn't feel like working on the "hat" section of the sub panel that came from Van's yesterday. So, I started working on the forward elevator push-pull tube that I didn't make before for some reason. I cut it to length, then marked the ends for drilling the holes for the blind rivets that will attach the threads.
Then I set up the drill press with the tube jig, and drilled the holes. Next I removed the threads from the tube, and deburred all the holes. Still waiting on UPS... 1.25 hours |
