I was finally able to grab the spot in the back of the maintenance hangar at work today!  This will be my winter work zone...as I said before, my hangar is too dang cold, and it's only gonna get worse...

So, I pulled the airplane out of my hangar at around 3:30 this afternoon to put the light of day on it for the first time with the wings on!  These are iPhone pics, so the quality isn't the best...

My friend Tim Daniel made a tow bar for me, and I brought the old blue tug (from 1947) down from Image Air to put to work on the task of moving it a half mile across the ramp to the big hangar.

Once we got the other airplanes moved around, I had my spot in the corner...

This is going to be a comfortable winter!  Heated floors even!

On to the work I did this evening...first, my tail light quit working for some reason the other day, and tonight I discovered that one of the terminals to one of the LED's had broken.  This happened, more than likely, from me missing the groove with the o-ring that seals the light, and I think it put pressure on the LED, and broke it when I tightened it down last time.  Once I found that, I put a small dab of solder over the terminal, and I had a functioning light again.  No pic.  Oh, BTW...the epoxy used to hold the nuts in place worked great!  I had the tail light off and back on four times tonight, and it's solid as can be!

Then I went back to working on the AOA.  I put the plastic tube fittings on the Hi and Low sides of the blade (pic of that next time), and then cut the hole in the inspection panel for the blade to slide thru.  The blade is able to be adjusted on it's mount using an AN3 bolt to pivot on, and is sandwiched between two pieces of AL angle.

I will be cutting the front edge of the bracket off as it's unnecessary to have it hanging over the leading edge of the inspection panel.
