10/10/2006 I got my LED Nav lights today from fellow RV-7(A) builder Jeff Bordelon! These things are SWEET!! In the pic are the left and right nav lights, the Power Pucks for each one, and the mirror for the strobe mount. See Jeff's page here for how these look when lit up. They are the best looking, cleanest install out there.
As far as aileron work goes, I deburred the holes from last night's session, then prepped and primed the outer edges of the spars and the reinforcement plates.
Then I riveted the reinforcement plates to the spars. The holes left open are for the ribs and brackets to be mounted later.
Next in sequence is to cleco and drill the nose ribs A-704L/R to the spar. Then I cleco'd the leading edge skins A-802PP and main skins A-801-1PP to the skeletons. The counterbalance pipe is also cleco clamped in to position for drilling.
This is as far as I could get this evening. We'll see how the rest of the week goes for building. I have to get the Chapter Newsletter finished up tomorrow night for publishing on Thursday... 2.5 hours |
