Whew!!!  October was huge!!!  Biggest month of building by far at 61 hours logged in this month!  I also passed the 500 hour mark!

Well, I didn't get as far as I had hoped tonight, but I did finish the push-pull tubes, and got a start on the aileron bellcranks.  Tonight will probably be it for a few days.  We're busy the next three nights, and I have the Aeroelectric Seminar this weekend at our Chapter hanger.  Anyway, I started the night by installing the rod end bearings and jam nuts on the short tubes, and set those to the proper length of 27 5/8" eye to eye.  I didn't torque them yet, but they are set.

Next I marked a piece of masking tape to mark the rivet locations on the long tubes with the rivet spacing fan, then wrapped the tape around each end of the tube.  After that, the VA-111 end cap was slid in place and the six holes on each end were drilled using the Center It tool again.

The pulled rivets used to attach the VA-111 end cap to the tube are MSP-42's.  They were pulled, then I cleaned up the tubes and primed them.

While waiting for those to dry (a little longer tonight since it's only about 40 degrees outside), I started on the aileron bellcranks.  I drilled the brass bushings to final size for the -4 bolt that will slide in there.

By then, the long tubes were dry, and I installed the rod end bearings in those.  These were also set to the proper length of 69 9/32", but not torque'd.

I finished the night out by drilling the 3/16th holes out in the bellcrank for the -3 bolts that will fit there.

3.0 hours
