10/28/2007 I LOVE the Fall season! We won't get
many days like today, so it was absolutely wonderful to be in the garage/outside
today!
Then I started on the F-703B angle that attaches to the back side of the instrument panel. This piece takes a while to make because of all the notches that need to be cut out. I got the holes drilled for the radius of the notch, and the center line of each one marked when my dad came over to rivet the rear aft top skin. So this is what I had to that point.
So I set that aside for a bit while we worked on the skin. My dad is great with the bucking bar, so he wiggled his way in to the tailcone while I did the shooting.
All the rivets turned out great!
Back to the 703B to make the notches and file/deburr everything.
The notches allow the angle to bend around the top of the panel, which I'll do tomorrow. Great day! 5.25 hours |
