10/8/2007 I decided to break away from 'The List' for a bit, and get started on the canopy roll bar. I started by cutting the access holes in the rear halves with a hole saw in the bandsaw.
Hole saws are really sweet cutters, and I'd HIGHLY recommend getting a set instead of using a fly cutter. After deburring the holes, I started on the attach brackets for the roll bar. A couple of these are made of some REALLY hefty angle! I didn't get the holes drilled in the bigger brackets tonight, but did get most of the shaping done.
These are the F-631C & D angles, and the F-732D & E angles. 2.75 hours |
