10/5/2008 This afternoon me and a couple other builders hosted a unique group of students from the University of Illinois...the Student Aircraft Builders, SAB. These students have started a club to build an airplane, and they chose none other than a Van's RV, specifically a 7A. Their website will have all the details, so I won't go in to it here, but needless to say, this is a very neat idea, and a great group of kids putting this together. Here's a group shot of them at my house after they had visited with Carl on his 9A, and before we went to the airport to look at Rob's flying 7. We spent about three hours with them this evening, and I hope they enjoyed the time spent here...I know we enjoyed talking about our projects with them!
I did do one really quick install before they came over, and that was the brain box for the Light Speed ignition.
I also cleaned up the airplane in general today...was gettin' kinda dusty and had aluminum shavings all over it. 0.25 hours |
