9/16/2008 Back from the Reno Air Races! As Ferris Bueller once said "I highly recommend it." I was hoping to have a bit of directional motivation when I got back, but I don't. I sat out there for about an hour, and worked for half of that. I mostly stared at it, and tried to figure out what I wanted to do. Not that I had a lot of time tonight, but I still need to nail a direction down. I wanted to make sure the nuts on the carb were torque'd down properly, and I had to use a crow's foot on two of them to set them initially (yes, I used the formula to make sure the torque was right with the crow's foot extension). All set, but I think I'm going to have to pull the carb to do a service bulletin...
The only other news right now is my SJ plenum showed up the day before I left for the races. I got a deal on this from another builder that decided to go baffles and a Van's cowl.
Here's a pic of it on the engine, but not necessarily in the position it will fit when done.
It's really smooth, and yes, I will be painting it... ;o) 0.5 hours |
