9/4/2008 I had all evening tonight to work on the airplane, and I just couldn't get in gear to concentrate on something. It was raining too...all the more reason to be in the garage! Anyway, in the two hours I was out there, I only worked on it for an hour. I started by making the battery retainer strap spacers, and temporarily fit that to the battery box.
Then I installed the fuel pump on the back of the engine. I was going to install the carburetor, but I can't find a drawing to tell me what hardware to use. Need to do some research on that. So on to the fuel pump. I didn't torque the bolts tonight, or safety them yet. I need to look at the chart at work tomorrow to get that value.
Looking for something else to do, I countersunk the screw holes in the panel. I don't think the plans call for c-sunk screws here, but it's what I'm going to use.
I probably won't get any time to work on the airplane over the next few days due to other commitments, but we'll see what happens... 1.0 hour |
